The laboratory was founded shortly after the creation of B & W Equine Group. The aim has been to make the service as clinically relevant and simple to use as possible. Three successful years on we are now a fully equipped laboratory providing rapid, reliable analysis and interpretation of clinical samples to aid diagnosis.
The laboratory consists of two full time members of staff, Holly Taylor (laboratory Manager) and Hannah Pollock (Lab technician. Holly is a qualified and experienced microbiologist working under the direction of veterinary surgeon Richard Hepburn, RCVS specialist and Diplomate in Equine Internal Medicine.
The laboratory offers a wide range of services and is open to the submission of samples and is open to the submission of samples from referring veterinary surgeons. Samples are processed on the day of arrival with the majority of blood results being reported by lunchtime.
Results are interpreted based on current literature and reported in a secure pdf format by email or by fax to your practice. We can telephone urgent results if required. Pre-paid special delivery address labels are available from our laboratory along with any specialist packaging required.
