B&W Equine Vets are delighted to announce the recent installation of a low field MRI scanner for use in the standing sedated horse. Supplied by Hallmarq Veterinary Imaging, this state of the art system will enable the early, safe and accurate diagnosis of lameness in the horse.

This is the only MRI system throughout the whole of the of the South West and Wales available for the diagnosis of lameness in the horse. B&W Equine Vets have installed this facility, made by Hallmarq Veterinary Imaging and it will be an invaluable aid to the rapid and accurate diagnosis of the cause of lameness in all types of horses and ponies. It also enables us to be more directed in our treatments and better able to predict the outcome for individual cases.

The Hallmarq scanner located in our purpose built MRI Suite, situated within the main hospital site.

Our Specialist team of vets are fully trained on the operation of the MRI scanner and interpretation of the resulting Images.
