Besides being a product of an exclusive pedigree, Malibu TN himself shows a lot of talent as a showjumpers. Sire Mr. Blue was known as one of world’s best jumpers ridden by Bert Romp and as a sire he has proven himself with offspring like Plot Blue, Simon, Zirocco Blue and many, many others. Grandsire Hors la Loi II earned the ‘Keur’ predicate by the KWPN thanks to his outstanding performing offspring, such as Untouchable, Verdi III and Makavoy. In the third generation of Malibu TN’s pedigree we find the legendary Libero H, winner of the World Cup Final with Jos Lansink in Den Bosch in 1994 and later on a true foundation sire.
The latter also applies to his son Numero Uno, who happens to be the full brother to Malibu’s granddam Olanda. Numero Uno leaves its marks with offspring like Winchester HS, Tobalio, Tyson and Sterrehof’s Tamino. Malibu’s dam Ursula earlier brought the successful mare Bellinda, a daughter of Namelus R jumping at 1.55m level with Canada’s Kara Chad.
And besides all those successful relatives, Malibu TN himself also seems a top horse in the making. During the KWPN Performance Test, he stood out through reflexes and rideability and attitude, and also his tremendous scope and light-footed movements are great features of Malibu. His excellent use of the body and extreme carefulness make Malibu TN a very complete and modern showjumper.
