Quasimodo van de Molendreef
Quasimodo van de Molendreef has been a Grand Prix jumper with both David Jobertie and Jaime Azcarraga. He won the Grand Prix of Lons le Saunier, was third in the GP of Vigo, fourth in the finals of the Sires of the World in Den Bosch, second in the Sires of the World in Mechelen, etc. Unfortunately, an injury cut short his career. His sire is the well-known Heartbreaker, producer of multiple international jumpers and approved stallions. Grandsire is the valuable stallion Lys de Darmen, who is a sire and grandsire of many international jumpers.
Full brother of Quasimodo van de Molendreef is Action Breaker, an approved BWP stallion and Grand Prix jumper under Sergio Alvarez Moya. Action Breaker was 11th at the WEG in Kentucky and placed 3rd in the Aachen Grand Prix.
Offspring of Quasimodo van de Molendreef are successful in sport. The best known is number one in the individual world rankings, Hello Sanctos, under Scott Brash. The pair won the Global Champions Tour in 2013 and 2014 and won no less than five Grand Prixs in the past year: Geneva, London, Estoril, Cannes and Wellington and won the Rolex Top 10 in Geneva. At the European Championship in Herning 2013 he won team Gold and individual Bronze, and at the Olympic Games in London 2012 he won team Gold and was fifth individually. Comte d’Arsouilles (Alexander Onishenko) also attended. In 2012, the latter pair won the Nations Cups at Drammen and Linz. Dauphin de Muze was successful in the United States, placing second in the Grand Prix of Los Angeles and tenth in the World Cup at Thermal. More offspring competing at international level are for Daiquiri van de Moortelshoeve, Dahar, Duc d’Arsouilles, Carat, Bellano van de Bosbeek, Zidane and Unari van de Wolfsakker.
The first KWPN registered offspring are now at the age of 5 and 6 and appear promising, and are selling for good prices.
In the final of the Dutch Foal Show two Quasimodo van de Molendreef-offspring participated: Jack Daniel’s JB ended up seventh and Joline St placed eleventh.
At the Elite Foal Auction in Vechta the most expensive jumper foal was Quasi Shura for a price of €16.000.
