I have always ridden horses from a very young age and jumped on ponies at top level.
My senior career has included jumping up to international trials and now training people of all levels, I really enjoy seeing peoples progression and confidence grow.
I sadly lost my top horse Pollyanna a few years ago in a freak stable accident while we were away on holiday. I was very upset for a long time as Polly had been part of the family and had been an important part of my recovery following a life-threatening accident in 2008 where I sustained multiple skull fractures, a brain haemorrhage and a split liver after a horse came down on top of me as it was leaving the horse box. We ought Polly in 2009 and she inspired me to never look back so to have her taken so suddenly whilst we were not even at home was heart-breaking.
I will never be able to truly replace Polly and all that she meant to me but I do have another horse competing at the higher levels again now, the lovely Mr Willoughby, or Willy as he's know to his friends. I'm very excited about what the year has in store for us and we've got off to a great start having already qualified for the National 1.30 final!
