The promising Cascos combines an attractive and athletic type, with great qualities as a showjumper and an outstanding pedigree. At the BWP stallion show he convinced the judges with his talent and great potential, which led to his approvement. His sire Colman is one of the best representatives of the esteemed Carthago bloodline and has developed into an absolute top sire. In 2016 his son L B Convall won the Grand Prix of Aachen and other of his high-performing products at the highest level are Catwalk IV, Cooper, Clouwni, Capital Colnardo and Clearly Zero. Cascos is bred out of the staatsprämie mare S Valona, which represents the solid Holsteiner damline 730B. She descends from the Grand Prix stallion Casco, who performed at top level with Gerald Geessink and Marc Houtzager and is sire of international showjumpers like Carlson, Alonso, Baros and Tinkabell. Through grandmother Valina II we can find the performance genes of foundation stallion Lord for the second time in the third generation of Cascos’ pedigree. Valina II produced the Olympic eventing horse Butscher (s.Bold Indian xx) of Kai Rüder and is grandmother of the 1.40m jumper Capino 4 (s.Caproni) ridden by Christopher Frazer. Besides that, Valina II is a full sister of the Holsteiner stallions Le Grand I-III, and an half-sister of hers is dam of the international Grand Prix jumper L B Companiero (s.Colman) of Christina Liebherr. These well-known family includes top stallions as Caletto I-III, Asca Z, Coronado I-II, as well as many successful international showjumpers such as Patrice Delaveau’s Grand Prix winner Lacrimoso 3 HDC (s.Landjunge).
