Kallmar is the first KWPN-approved son of the promising sire Carrera VDL. Ridden by both James Billington and Jur Vrieling, the Cardento-son Carrera VDL jumped impressively at international Grand Prix level. As a breeding stallion, Carrera VDL passes on his incredible qualities and his oldest offspring are starting to break through in showjumping. Carrera VDL’s progeny stands out with their fantastic reflexes, way of jumping and ability. Kallmar’s grandsire Indorado has proven himself in breeding over the years. This Corrado I-son brought successful horses such as Oranta (Angelique Hoorn & Chris Kappler), Eurocommerce Milano (Gerco Schröder), Eurocommerce Lanapoule (Gerco Schröder) and many others. As a dam’s sire, Indorado stands out as well and passes on his ability and attitude. With Guidam, Marco Polo and Koridon xx a solid foundation has been laid for Kallmar’s pedigree.
Kallmar’s dam Geluk-Olaris is awarded with the KWPN predicates ‘Elite’ and ‘Sport’ and passed the IBOP test. In addition, Geluk-Olaris jumped her first 1.40m-classes at the age of only seven. Granddam Solaris is awarded ‘Keur’, ‘Preferent’ and successfully passed the EPTM test. She also produced approved stallion Brugal VDL, who competes at international level. Great-granddam Dolaris D was the basis of many international showjumpers and approved stallions, such as Caramelo C (Luis Astolfi), Platini (Andreas Kreuzer), Olona (Cassio Rivetti), Captain (Zuzanna Gowin), Cupido (Roberto Previtali), Boemerrang (Jeroen Dubbeldam), Expert (Sander Geerink & Sanne Thijssen) and the talented stallions Heart Touch and Gullit HBC.
